EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced that Todd Robertson and his Pro Power Motorsports team will debut their Eaton-sponsored National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Top Alcohol Funny Car at the Detroit Autorama, February 24-26, 2012, at Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan. With Eaton as its major sponsor in 2012, Pro Power Motorsports will use the most attended event in America's Premier Customer Car Series to showcase its readiness for one of NHRA's most competitive classes.
Robertson's Chevrolet Monte Carlo features numerous Eaton Products, such as Aeroquip® performance hose and fittings for fuel, oil and brake lines and Synflex® tubing and fittings for fuel management. It is also equipped with toggle switches from Eaton for electrical controls and data acquisition. In addition, the Eaton-backed Flopper features graphics and paint applied by Dan Carpenter and 21st Century Collision, a Brad Hadman chassis, and a 3,000-plus-horsepower blown hemi.
Robertson, who is based in Harrison Township, Michigan, said the Detroit Autorama is a natural venue to unveil his new Top Alcohol Funny Car. "The Detroit area is all about hot rods, muscle cars, horsepower and some of the biggest names in motorsports, and it's where I caught the motor-head bug growing up," said Robertson, who earned his first series championship in 2010. "That's why the Autorama is the perfect place to debut our Eaton-sponsored leap into the NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car ranks."
"Eaton is excited to support Todd in the sportsman-class ranks, which uses more Eaton products than any other segment of drag racing," said Eaton's Mike Rasnick, sales manager---Aeroquip Performance Products. "Pro Power Motorsports will place Eaton products front and center among our most loyal repeat customers."
