SSI Co-Founder Korman Passes

Gerry Korman, co-owner of KMS Industries and Custom Floaters and co-founder of SSI (Supercharger Systems), died suddenly from complications from a fall at his home on January 10. He was 69. Korman and Dick Malone engineered what came to revolutionize the supercharger manufacturing process and set the standard in high-precision supercharger manufacturing.
After the sale of SSI, Korman and Malone concentrated on the manufacturing of OEM automotive parts and aerospace components. Korman and Malone’s company continues to manufacture high-performance clutch components used by a number of teams within the racing industry.
A memorial service is planned for a later date. Cards and messages can be sent to Jo Ellen Korman at 3350 Watkins, Medina, Ohio 44256.
