March
6, 2013, Eastlake, OH – After a year’s absence, John Bojec returns to NHRA
racing this season. He will make his return at the Gatornationals in
Gainesville with Speed City Racing.
Bojec,
winner of the Toyo Tires National at Reading in 2010, returns for his ninth
year of competition in the Top Alcohol Funny Car division. With him will be longtime sponsor CAM2 ‘Blue
Blood’ Racing Oils. Their support of
Speed City Racing is part of CAM2’s marketing effort to reunite their brand
with the motorsports community.
Their
relationship extends beyond the racetrack.
Recently CAM2 partnered with Bojec’s performance parts and service
company, Speed City, to distribute and market their ‘Blue Blood’ product line.
Speed
City, located in Eastlake, Ohio, offers the best quality in new and used
performance parts. The team at Speed
City specializes in race car builds and updates, custom pit equipment, and has
extensive experience reconstructing blown alcohol engines.
“While
I was away from racing I took the time to establish Speed City,” says
Bojec. “I wanted to create a purpose for
our race team, and not rely on racing as our only business. Now the race team serves as our major outlet
for marketing our Speed City brand.”
It
was this growth that attracted CAM2 to Speed City.
CAM2
motor oil began as a collaborative effort involving the Sun Oil Company
(Sunoco), General Motors, and Roger Penske.
Together they developed a superior performance motor oil that would help
Penske Racing win the Indianapolis 500. In
1975, after this successful endeavor, the Sun Oil Company decided to introduce
their premium performance motor oil – Blue
Blood -- to the general public as a "do it yourself" motor oil.
Today
CAM2’s ‘Blue Blood’ product line features motor oil, gear oil, and transmission
fluid. Their motor oils are high in zinc,
providing excellent anti-wear protection for high revving engines. They are available in 0W30 as a full synthetic,
10W30 and 20W50 as a synthetic blend, and Drag Pack Plus 70 weight.
