Harrison TWP. MI. … Top Alcohol Funny Car Driver/Owner, Todd Robertson, has been lucky enough to turn his passion for hot rods and all things fast into a making a living at his Pro Power Motorsports shop near his home on Harrison township, Michigan but, sometimes racing gets in the way of racing.
While Robertson will be behind the wheel of his TA/FC competing at Route 66 Raceway outside of Chicago in Joliette, IL one of his close friends and customer, Scott Krueger will be piloting a 6 second, turbocharged Pro Modified Drag Sled (snowmobile) at Milan Dragway during their Aeroquip Friday Night Heads Up Series; sponsored by Pro-Stock Inc.
With nearly 300 miles between them Robertson knows the cell phones will be on charge all day. “Scott is a great friend and customer of Pro Power Motorsports. Normally we use my rig when Scott is running Milan. These sleds are pretty elaborate, high tech pieces. There are very few in the nation and to watch these things run is pretty incredible. I don’t think we’ll be calling each other for advice as much as we will for updates on how each other is doing on the track,” said Robertson.
This Outlaw Sled class competes at Milan Dragway during their Aeroquip Friday Night Heads Up events. The new Pro-Stock Inc. Outlaw Sled Class will feature some of the quickest and fastest snowmobiles on the planet capable of posting 6 second elapsed times while racing on a heads up – 1,000 foot format.
While his thoughts between rounds may travel 300 miles to his buddy; you can be sure that once that 3,000 Horsepower Hemi between the rails of his Eaton backed Funny Car comes to life Robertson will have nothing but pure concentration on his task in front of him.
Robertson and his Eaton corporation backed Pro Power Top Alcohol Funny Car team will compete in the NHRA North Central Division “Burn down at Sundown” at historic Route 66 Raceway outside of Chicago in Joliette, IL this June 6-8. To follow all the action, log onto http://www.dragracecentral.com or you can follow along at NHRA.com. The first Round of qualifying for the Alcohol classes will be Friday afternoon at 4PM.
