May 5th, 2014 – Current back-to-back national event winner, the Randy Meyer Racing Team returns to Jolie, Illinois for the Burndown at Sundown event this weekend. Team owner Randy Meyer will be back in the driver’s seat of his winning Top Alcohol Dragster, and will have his youngest daughter, Rachel Meyer, racing her Super Comp Dragster.

After winning the NHRA Spring Nationals event held at Houston himself, for the second year in a row, and allowing Shayne Lawson to pilot the A/Fueler to take the hometown win at Topeka on Memorial Weekend for the NHRA Kansas Nationals, Randy is prepared to take down the competition and continue his team's winning streak.

“We have never won this Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series regional event,” said Randy. “With the good car that we have now, we want to keep the momentum up and turn on win lights for a successful weekend.“

Racing for the Top Alcohol classes starts this Friday at 4:00 PM with one qualifying run. The final two qualifying sessions will be held at 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Saturday, followed by eliminations starting at noon.

Randy Meyer Racing would like to thank their sponsors for their support and dedication to the team: Lucas Oil, Smart Chicken, Aeromotive Fuel Systems, NGK Spark Plugs, MOTOR MEDIC, Quik-Latch Products, Boninfante, Taylor Cable, Belzona Industrial Solutions, Rezner trailers, ARP, MAHLE Clevite, Hedman Hedders, and Moroso.
