“The guys feel that we’re really close to having the tune-up that will take us to the next level. We found a couple problems after Vegas and fixed them, so the car should run well in Mission ,” said the former Top Alcohol Funny Car pilot.
Hunter is hoping to take the ExactAir Compliance Systems blown alcohol dragster just one more round than he did at the Las Vegas national event. His consistent, quick reaction times and solid race car put him into the second round, falling to A/Fueler Garrett Bateman. To go one more round at a regional event would mean his first final round appearance.
“We are all looking forward to racing at the beautiful British Columbia track! The weather forecast looks great for qualifying. That gives us the confidence in knowing that we’ll probably be able to get all three passes in to get our set-up dialed in for race day. Stop by and see the ExactAir team if you’re at the track,” said Hunter.
Greg Hunter and the ExactAir/Kenny Gilmour Motorsports team head to Mission Raceway Park for the NHRA B.C. Nationals, May 25-27. Qualifying is scheduled for 3 pm on Friday and 1 and 4 pm on Saturday. Eliminations begin on Sunday morning.
